Yard Waste



Collection Times:		Beginning 1/7/2008, Mondays (except holidays)


Containers:		Paper bags, trash cans marked “Yard Trim” on side facing the street. Cans and bags must not weigh more than 45 pounds. For free Yard Trim decals, call 240-777-6410 or contact the Montgomery County Department of Public Works. Tired of bagging grass clippings? Help your lawn, help the environment, and save money by “grass cycling.” For more information, go to the Grasscycling website. Bags and cans must not weigh more than 45 pounds. Bundles must not exceed 30 inches in diameter and 4 feet in length. Individual branches should not be more than 4 inches in diameter

Bundles:		You may also tie bundles with twine. Bundles are limited to 30 inches in diameter and 4 feet in length. The diameter of individual branches is limited to 4 inches.

General:		You can get free Yard Trim decals at County libraries or by calling 240-777-6410.

Leaves



Collection Times:		Weekly pickup (no set day) between October 15 and January 15.

Collection Places:		Rake to your curb for vacuum pick up. Residents along Cedar, Saul and Connecticut are asked to rake their leaves only to the sidewalk or curb and not into the street in order that the piles of leaves do not impede the flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
