Collection Times:
Tuesdays and Fridays, except holidays.
Collection Places:
Our trash collectors will do pick ups from your back or side yard; it is not necessary to bring your containers to the curb. Just be sure your containers are accessible and visible, or tell the collectors where to find them.
Containers:
Please use rigid containers of metal or plastic with tight-fitting lids. You may use heavy disposable plastic liners, but liners must be kept in approved containers when storing trash between collections. In other words, don’t leave your items out in plastic bags alone -- crows, squirrels and other critters love to get into their contents and would have easy access. Uncontained piles of trash, garbage, and overflowing containers cannot be collected.
What's Excluded:
Hazardous waste, such as toxic chemicals, oil-based paint, batteries, television picture tubes, and flammable substances. (Cans of dried latex paint can be included in household trash.) For guidance on disposing hazardous waste, go to Household Hazardous Waste Collections. Building materials, such as lumber, doors, fencing, shingles, bricks, blocks, gutters, or other material resulting from repair, remodeling, or construction. Yard waste, including soil, rocks, tree trunks, limbs, or stumps. Human or animal fecal or uriniferous matter, infectious wastes, dead animals. Items larger than a 32-gallon trash can.
